Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

At Riskfacilitator Pty Ltd, we are committed to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly, ethically, and transparently. AI tools are increasingly used across industries to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of work, but they must never replace professional expertise, critical thinking, or accountability.

Scope of this statement

This statement covers both our internal use of third-party AI tools in delivering advisory work, and the AI capabilities built into our own platforms (risky.live, risky.assess, and risky.verify). Our platforms are designed to support operational risk intelligence and decision-making. They inform professional judgement; they do not make risk decisions on a client's behalf.

How we use AI

We may use AI technologies to support content generation, editing, and scenario development; to assist in analysing data patterns and streamlining workflows; and to enhance the usability of our digital platforms and communication tools. AI is always used under the guidance of our qualified professionals. Any material created or supported by AI is reviewed for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with our methodologies and obligations.

Human oversight

We maintain a human-in-the-loop approach. All outputs developed with AI assistance are reviewed and validated by experienced professionals before they inform any advice or deliverable. Where our work supports officer due diligence or reasonably practicable risk decisions, accountability for that work rests with our advisers, not with the technology. Decisions, recommendations, and risk advisories are never based solely on AI-generated content.

Privacy and confidentiality

We do not enter confidential client information or personally identifiable data into public or consumer AI systems. Where AI is used within a client engagement, it is through tools configured with appropriate data-handling, security, and retention controls, and our tooling is configured so that client inputs are not used to train third-party models. Our use of AI complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable Australian regulations. If you would like to understand the specific arrangements applying to your engagement, we are happy to set these out.

Transparency and integrity

We are open about our use of AI and will explain, on request, how it has been applied in a particular engagement or report. Ultimate responsibility for our work lies with our team, not the technology.

Bias and fairness

We recognise that AI tools can reflect or amplify bias. Riskfacilitator takes steps to identify and mitigate such risks and applies professional judgement to ensure all outputs align with professional, ethical, and inclusive standards.

Continuous review

As AI technologies and the regulatory environment evolve, so too will our practices. We regularly review our use of AI, including against developments in Australian privacy and automated decision-making law, to ensure it remains safe, effective, and aligned with our values, client expectations, and legal obligations.
